Routine patient care is by advance reservation only

We see patients by appointment only, to ensure that each patient receives individualized, quality care ... and our undivided attention.

Since we make reservations for routine patient care in advance, it is suggested that you call ahead to reserve the time that best fits your needs.

To improve efficiency, and reduce the number of visits needed for more complex care, we can arrange longer appointments if desired.

Our friendly, professional staff will be happy to meet your special needs, or accommodate your schedule.

Custom arrangements can be made for patients with special needs, who will only be in the area for a limited time, or who will be traveling considerable distances for their care.

Emergency Care and Urgent Problems

For people who are already a patient in our practice

Prompt appointments for urgent care are available for all our patients of record who have emergency problems.  The nature of the emergency problem will determine when we can address it.

To meet special needs of patients with urgent problems usually requires altering our carefully planned schedule.  This requires patient understanding, and may limit the time available for emergency care.

For new patients we have not seen before

We make every possible effort to accommodate new patients with urgent problems as promptly as possible during our regularly scheduled hours.

Emergency care after regular hours

After hours emergency care is only available to our patients of record (as well as their family or friends).

We provide emergency care to our patients of record at all times:

Cancellations or Appointment Changes

We consider reservation of our time to be an agreement between our office and the patient. Our obligation is to set aside time and office resources exclusively for the patient.  When we do so, the time and resources of our office are not available to other patients. 

The patient, in turn, is obliged to provide adequate advance notice of an unexpected change in plans. We ask our patients for 48 hours (two business days) advance notice for cancellation of shorter visits, and five business days advance notice to change reservations of two hours or more.  We regret that we must assess a charge when patients fail to appear as agreed, or for cancellations with inadequate advance notice.

Telephone calls

Emergency calls regarding urgent problems are returned at the first opportunity permitted by safe patient care, usually immediately.
